Okay my wife sells Sentsy. For those of you who don't know, it is wax warmers and wax. Well they sell this open top warmer you plug in and drop the wax right in

. Right <-----. well in my bathroom the outlet is right next to the plug in. I go in one night after work and turn on the light and bump this stupid warmer and dump wax all over the floor.( I want to shoot whoever made this. ) Anyways, she had blue wax in it that night and our linoleum floor is white/grey. The wax was so hot it burned into the floor of my apartment. We move out in two weeks and id really like to try to fix this as they charge 300 for the floor.


We have tried finger nail polish to cover it up but it keeps coming back. any ideas? Id be open to painting it but what about the texture?

The link shows two photos, the dark center in the floor where the wax is, is where i gouged the floor trying to get the wax up. i was thinking about super gluing it back down..
 


I'd say hit it with a hair dryer on high heat or a heat gun and get the wax soft enough again to wipe it up with some towels you don't care about (dollar store time!). I did this exact thing with blue wax and I got it all up with my heat gun. Just have to be really carefull NOT to overheat the linoleum as it will brown/burn if you kill it with fire, lol...
 
Thank you FordMan. I tried one day with her hair dryer, but im guessing that it isnt getting hot enough. I mean its REALLY in there. ive wanted a heat gun for a while for miscellaneous things, so now i guess this will give me an excuse to get one
 
I honestly have no idea, so it hit the google machine. Got an interesting hit:
"Put a single layer of paper cut from a grocery bag over the wax. Glide over it with an iron set at a medium heat. The iron will melt the wax, and the paper will absorb it. Who said being an altarboy wouldn't come in handy someday?"

"If you get wax on your carpet. Lay down and old absorbent towel and set an iron on top of it. The wax will melt and be absorbed by the towel. Obviously, don't let the iron burn the towel.

Another thing I used last night that worked quite well... Flip a can of compressed air (for cleaning CPUs) upside down and spray the wax. It will freeze solid in a second, then it just flakes off. "

Also, wax dissolves in nonpolar solvents, alcohol is polar, so it won't dissolve wax. I did see that dental supply places sell wax solvent for dentures that might be safer for the floor than something like kerosene.
 


That bdon't work try the oppose fren blast and a plastic putty knife chip it off worked on my kitchen floor BUT that is porcelain tile
