Hi all, owner of an 01 gp gt here.

Recently, my car has decided that its cool to stay at 2k -2.5k rpms while
cruising around 40-45mph..
The car has 124k on the clock. Has a ZZP pcm, slip intake, 180 tstat, as far
as "mods" go. I changed the fluid and filter about 12k ago. So i dont see
that as an issue. Im just confused as to if its the torque converter? or
if the 4th gear clutch hub/shaft has taken a crap. Advise?

Sure. Say im going down the road at 45-50ish. The trans up until then
has shifted 1-2-3...but doesnt seem to get 4th. The rpm's will
stay a steady 2500-2700, if i dont ease off the throttle. But no matter
what i try and do with the throttle, it just wont go in 4th.
Im going to try and swap back in my stock ecu, and maybe
that will help. Just last week, the car was fine on my normal trip to
work. (the 45-50ish). I have herd bad things about the ZZP pcm's. So i hope that the issue can be resolved with the pcm swap. I guess i can
have the trans scanned for codes as well? Could be a shift solenoind? (please please please).

well had to get the tranny rebuilt. The 4th gear shaft had almost no splines left ha. and some of the clutcthes were non existent. Had it all done for 1500 at a reputable shop. Yay, i have forth again!
