Re-doing CAI

So I made the mistake of, when buying tubing for my CAI, buying 3" tubing, and a 3" filter. If I were to go out and buy some 4" tubing, would it be just as good to use my 4" to 3" coupler to attach the filter to the 4" tubing? Would that yield as good, or almost as good and a 4" filter?

I'd hate to have wasted $30 on a 3" filter -_-'

Well I pretty much tried the same as you a few days ago and I'm also pretty sure that most people will tell you that you're better of with a 4" tube and filter. Check out this thread in I went through the same thing:

He is switching to 4" tubing. It will work fine

It will not flow as much as the 4" filter, but it will flow plenty for a stock/mild setup. When that filter gets old buy a 4" filter. The gains would not be worth the extra money.

Get an intercooler and bolt it to the throttle body...thats what I think
