Rattling/clicking noises from the engine

2004 GT2 with 183K miles (alot, I know). The noise is related to the rpm. The quicker the revs, the more frequent the nosie. Rattling/clicking about 4 times a second while idling, and then it gose up from there. It happens almost all the time. Any one know what it could be?

it sounds like your valves are slapping, pretty big problem. but you should take it to a mechanic and see what he says

can you tell where it is coming from relative to the engine bay?

probably noisy lifts, add some lucas oil stabilizer and see if that helps.
