Random Stalling PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!

This problem started about 5 days ago and i have spent them pulling my hair out i just cant figure it out...
Day 1 : went out to move car, it started but shut right back off tried again same thing third time it started took it around the block and it stalled while i was driving. Started it back up and brought it to the garage let it run and stalled at idle started it back up and it stalled again about 10 min later at idle.
Day 2: changed the fuel filter... it was dirty let it run for 10 min took it around the block everything seemed fine
Day 3: drove it 30 miles parked at home got in 3 hours later wouldn't start tried 3 times and took the chevy. That night i checked the fuel pressure seemed good, i changed the MAF seemed to run good
Day 4: drove 30 miles parked at home for 15 min came out started it drove 3 blocks and stalled while i was driving turned it around parked in garage. That night changed the fuel pump relay just to be safe seemed to run good took it for a drive a few blocks ran fine.
Day 5: Started the car in the morning let it run about 10 min later heard the car rev up "thought someone was in it actually revving it up" then it dies, changed the iac valve "was dirty", took it for a drive it stalled, started it back up and it stalled again, started it back up and parked in garage.... this is where is it sitting

There is no check engine light... I was thinking about changing the CPS next but im just not sure where to go with it.
car is a 2002 grand prix gt 3.8 engine.
any help would be greatly appreciated

i think i will try that tomorrow its the next cheaper part on the list... i just wish it would throw a code already! thankyou for taking the time to reply!

i actually had bought the cps the first day but ended up taking it back cause i second guessed myself...

The crank sensor is under the harmonic balancer if you havent researched it yet. You will need a puller to get at it and a impact gun might come in handy.

ok so day 6: changed cps NOT it changed EGR NOT it... so since were out of things to change we put the fuel pressure tester back on this is what I get please tell me whats normal whats not and your opion on what it could be.... Hooked it up turned key reading went up to 55 then went to 45 and stayed started the car reading was in between 42 and 45 the needle was real bouncy (is this normal for it to be bouncy) unhooked fuel pressure regulator jumped up to 55 and needle more steady. When gave a little throttle needle got more bouncy hooked or un hooked from fuel pressure regulator. There is no signs of fuel in the fuel pressure regulator hose but could that still be bad? Or is it fuel pump? Or are these normal good readings PLEASE HELP!!! thanks

i only got it to stall one time and no it didnt loose fuel pressure although while it was hooked up if you give it throttle slowly the needle does goes down slowly to about 39 or 40 if you give it throttle fast it will go up... we did have the ignition control module checked today while i was at the part store again and it tested good.

ok so if you dont loose fuel pressure when it stalls, its not the fuel pump. The icm will test good when its not stalling. Does it slowly sputter out or just turn off like you turned the key off?

yeah i took the icm off and to advanced when they tested it and he also did a test by hitting it with something to simulate vibration... just turns off like i turned off the key... there is no warning but i know it stalled cause the dash lights come on. and there is nothing that seems to make it stall sometimes its while its just idling and sometimes its while driving it

If you replaced the crank sensor, it sounds like you have a bad icm. I dont care what their machine says, if it is not bad all the time there is no way to test it off the car.

ok i will go get a new icm tomorrow and see what happens i didnt realize it could test good and not be... but it does make sense keeping fingers crossed and will update tomorrow night thanks so much for your help!!

i may be a lil late on this... sounds like the maf culprit...common stalling is a sign. the fact the car kicked its idle up kind of makes me think of it too. always check for vacuum leaks. just had a thought about the catalayic converter causing this....not sure if you have 1 or not.

its was indeed the ICM... thankful to nick that told me it could test good and still be bad. Went this morning and bought a new ignition control module and ITS FINALLY FIXED!!!!

mike: we had changed the MAF already and checked for vacuum leaks!
just glade its fixed $300 bucks later!

ok so i spoke too soon... drove the car today and sure enough it dies on me and then died again while at idle.. what now!?!

well we had put a brand new maf sensor on before the icm and it still happen.... ?!? what about the map sensor?

I have a similar problem with engine surging in idle, but I keep mine from stalling when it comes close by tapping the gas. Just wonder if it's the same thing?
