ran into a cobalt ss

was cruising and tuning the car to run on 89octane. had the 3.1" pulley and timing's roughly 15-16*. saw a blue coblat ss pass me so i just followed him with my cut-out slightly opened so its noticeable . the road cleaerd on the freeway and i waited for him to gun it and he did while i was a car length behind. his exhaust roared and i applied full throttle from 75ish. he didnt gain on me but once we went past ~105mpg i started itching on him and then he'd shut down around ~115mph. he switched to the right lane and let me pass him then he followed me. as i passed him we exchanged thumbs up.

and again same thing, i applied throttle and went full throttle and he didnt catch me or i didnt gain on him til ~105-110 where i started pulling away slowly. i dunno what mods he had done since he pulled onto the exit ramp. i took the next exit and made a u-turn. once i got off the same exit as the cobalt driver i spotted him leaving the nearby sheetz. i honked at him to stop so we can chat but he rushed out of there and away from me by cutting off oncoming traffic on the road:th_skull: .

what mods would need for a cobalt to run the way this one ran against my mods below except with a 3.1"? o and BTW ricer-excuse my tunes' is really bad at the moment
 


I see some of these around and always wanted to run one. But never had the opportunity to do so, yet.

yea i always wanted to run them as well as the SRT-4s. i imagine the one i ran is either a stage 1 or 2. again i wish i knew but the driver drove off as if i was gona kill him lol
 
my buddy has a ss balt. it's pretty impressive for having just a tune and dp.


i'd say a low 14 second car easily.

Yea i wanna kill srt-4's real bad, i know their pretty quick specialy when they have the stage 2 mopar kit in them. I ran a blue balt ss before but it wasnt much of a race cause their was traffic up ahead but it wasnt bad. I was driving through the mall parking lot looking for ricers to kill and i c this blue balt ss sitting in a parking space so i drive around and im right behind him, i rev my engine up a little bit not not much cause it's not a V8 anyways he revs his up and its loud as hell and i rev mine up again and he does it again so i'm thinking ill go up againt this little punk, and my friend rolls down the passenger side winow and yells hey you wanna go and the window rolls down on the balt and it's an older man and hes like naw you wouldn't wanna race me and i'm like ahh yea i do so lets go, soo we hit the highway and we get to 50 and he starts to honk, soo i figured were gonna be doing a 50 roll and on the third honk he stomps on it and i do too, and i am about the back on my door my car is a coupe to his front bumper soo i am slowley inching away from him, then we had to let off of it, i was happy cause my car had four people in it including me, and he was by him self, i had the 3.4 pulley with supporting mods at the time.

Wow i can't belive i left that part out, well i pulled up to him and my friend rolled down his window and the guy took off weaving in and out of cars lol, soo i'm guessing i scared him lol.
 
Not bad, those ss cobalts are quick for what they are, and those srt 4's are beast its hard to find one stock, usually when you see them on the streets they're fast as hell and just blow your doors off
