I have a 97 GP with a Sony aftermarket radio and just recently when you open the drivers door to get out the radio usually turns off but it stays on. If you open any of the other door it will turn off but as soon as you close them the damn radio turns back on. Any info.? Thanks
 


Yes the interior lights turn on and off when they are supposed to. I've had this radio for about 2 years and its been fine until yesterday when it started doing this so I'm gunna say everything is wired right.
 
this would be your RAP relay (Retained Accessory Power) Relay. they go out occasionally, mine did 2 weeks after i bought my gp. Its a dealership only part, and it will run you 150$ to fix it. Eventually if you dont get it fixed, you will lose power to radio, sunroof, and all power windows.
 
Is that for factory radios only cus I have a Sony Xplod system
Nevermind. after I read it a couple times it makes sense to me now
