• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Radiator fans wont come on

know thats where it likes to be, and that its fine cause you know its running cooler than that? id not give a flying F and carry on.

I mean you could probably let it hit 210 pull the needle off and stick it back on at 210 (if thats even possible) but it still wont be accurate worth a damn.

Take the clear cover off the gauges and tape a piece of paper over the temp gauge readings. Then hook up your scan tool and make a mark where the needle is a 160, 210, 260 or where ever you like. Thats about the only way it'll be accurate.... or you could take a 2" hole saw to the spot where your temp gauge is and stick an aftermarket one in there. You could even duct tape your scan tool to the dash next to you and then you'd always know your exact temp.

My GP normal temp is the 1/4 on the temp gauge or just under it lol so I can vouch for them sucking for being accurate.

Get a scanner on it to read what the coolant temp is from the PCM if your worried about it being too hot.

My 2003 reads about the same as Russosaur.... When fully warmed up and cruising down the road my guage always reads about 1/4. with my scanner hooked up 1/4 is about 198 or 200 degrees F. give or take. My fans seem to usually come on when the engine temp gets to around 215 or so.

I'm probably going to order the pillar gauge pod and slap an AEM coolant temp sensor, it's $173 but that's the only
brand I trust

Do you have an andriod phone by chance? There is an app called Torque that reads bunch of info from the PCM and shows you in realtime. All it needs is a 12 buck obd2 bluetooth adapter and it costs maybe 5 bucks for the app if you buy it. These is what I have mine reading anytime I'm in the car. Take note tho having over 3 things reading at one time slows the read times down. because im n/a KR isnt important so I just loaded up what I want to see.
