Truth goes as followed..I was driving home from college minding my own business (our own business). Well, kinda.. Anywho as Im weaving thru traffic I notice this vehicle approaching me from behind at a good rate of speed. Instantly my buddy says "Your not going to let him by are you??" I hesitated for a second..and as he is rolling past me i just mashed it. I pulled right away and lifted at around 115mph. I dropped to about 80mph see if he would pursue. Sure as stuff, he runs up on me again. I messed with him for a minute and then decided to roll beside him. He downshifts and takes off. I wait a second to make things more interesting. Five seconds later, were side by side and I slowly start to pull on him. I put a car length on him untill around 115mph and hit the brakes. I followed him to the next exit and then into the local mcdonalds parking lot. He starts flipping out and couldnt believe I beat him. I asked him what he had done to the car, He tells me that he had a throttle body, full exhaust and a tune. I proceed to tell him that I have 2 other grown men in my car, 3 bookbags, a full sound system with subs and a weak transmission. They were high school kids and fell in love my with my stock GTP. I dont have a video so please dont give me the "VIDEO OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN BS"

Ps He has a 6 speed (gearing was in his favor for sure)

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. (my second race in the gtp and im proud to say that im 2-0) Both were fords, The first kill was a 96 mustang gt A4

Wow, You guys must hang out in parking lots and drool over your 3.4" pulley swaps huh? I wasnt bragging about my car. Its stock and a daily driver. What do you expect from a GM Fwd platform? Sure you can waste money on a turbo, or full stack intercoolers and in the end, you still have a fwd. I was saying that his little focus was moving out quicker than I expected. As stated above, I had a loaded down car and 156k miles..

It shifts soft, Its not slipping so what the big deal? Ill rebuild it when it goes. I rarely beat on the car I was just having a little fun on the way home from class.

In the end a win is a win.
 


Im sure It sounds worse in text, but Im not out to piss anyone off. You guys just like to jump all over people. So if I spend the money to get this car into 12's or 13's youd say its a waste of money huh?
