• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Racebalt is no more...yup...totalled.

Glad you guys are okay man. There's tons of cobalts out there. They are very safe for how small they are, with all their crumple zones and whatnot. The car did it's job, hopefully the aching and whatnot go away quickly :/

Thanks everyone...hitting up my lawyer today.

This repeat offending **** isn't going to see the light of day if I have anything to do about it.

Glad your ok, sucks when you did NOTHING wrong and you vehicle gets totaled.
how did you get the dmg in the backend? did he swing around and hit your rear fender when you hit his front wheel?

Nice rim-print in the bumper(s). Bondo and JB-Weld... done.

Seriously tho, I noticed how pristine the interior looked, airbags aside. Sucks havin to deal with all that BS on top of the world-o-hurt. My neck hurts just looking at those pics.

Apparently that is what happened...I don't remember that...police said there was so much momentum that after the initial collision I slid out and smacked into his rear quarter panel.

Nice rim-print in the bumper(s).

I just now noticed that...his truck looked like the 1st stupid hellaflush Silverado you'd ever seen...or better yet...like the DeLorean from Back To The Future after he converted the wheels into jets or whatnot.

glad you are ok as well, we had a simlar crash in our old cobalt, guy stopped for no reason in the middle of the road, no time to stop hit him at about 30, i hit the brake pedel so hard but didnt hit it square so my foot rolled off of the pedel and got all messed up other than that the gf and i were ok, ended up with a 09 G6 GT for the gf. hope it all works out for you

Glad you're OK dude, you and the lady are whats important.

So, this POS had insurance at least? I sure hope so, been there, lost that.

2 minutes later...
the a guy lost his 16 ft trailer and the load trailer came into our lane. 100km on 100km collision.

In this pic the trailer did the same thing as the truck did to you, twisted sideways and slamed my side(after hitting my head on driver side)

In one pic you can see the the broken trailer across the road, it was loaded with bbq with full propane tank(YOU CAN SEE THE BBQ SKEWER IN THE HOOD!!), sofa bed couch, fridge. and the FORD one the battle lol, as we came at you only scratches and bruises.
sorry to jack the thread, but we have some things in common, like being tottally safe driver and some other ahole totalling your vehincle.

^^ Like in your accident, it's amazing how bad the car will look and we were all able to walk away from it with minor injuries.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes!

Yup, guy had full coverage through Safe Co.?; Found out he was released from holding yesterday on a county level but since we found out Kim's collarbone is actually fractured and not just bruised, they are re-issuing a warrant on a state level soooo...it went from a Class C Felony DUI to Attempted Vehicular Manslaughter on 2 accounts and Vehicular Assault...along with the DUI...and whatever other ticket he was going to get.

Again, thanks everyone for the kind words and everything; and for Clint (LSick7) for making the other thread in the lounge. Sure is nice to know when it comes down to it people appreciate you.

I'll be going to my lawyer for a sit down visit this afternoon and seeing a couple doctors today as well. I've been developing a nice twitching/tingling in all my feet/ankles/hands since yesterday...looking like possible nerve damage; not sure...that's just what I've dug up on the interwebz. Kim still isn't doing too hot either she has her arm sling'd up now since they can't do anything about her collarbone...found out it actually separated from the sternum...and her seat belt burns/bruises are beyond nasty.

Fun story for the day...had to go get the sling for her arm so I figured I'd try driving yesterday for the 1st time since Sunday night...kinda odd and surreal...we got to the drug store...and pulling into my neighborhood on the way back...some guy on a cell phone pulls right out in front of us looking the other god damn direction and I had to slam on the brakes and lay on the horn. Talk about luck. I got out and gave that dude a piece of my mind. Just played the entire thing over in both of our heads...kind of upsetting...and uneasy. Sure is going to be a fun road to recovery...*sigh*...lol.

:th_soapbox1:
:th_angry-tantrum: Somebody is going to have ROAD RAGE!!! :th_chairshot:

Can't say I blame you tho, I would too given that situation. Seems everyone is in such a rush they don't take the 1/2 a sec to fully stop and look both ways before jumping out into 30+mph traffic. I've been fortunately blessed with good reactions and timing and never *knock on wood* been in a wreck while I was driving, but Ive had enough close calls to get irritated just reading this. People like that I just want to go all G.T.A. on them and pull them out of the car and give them a wake-up call :p

little late, but late is better then never.

Glad to hear your both ok.... for the most part. Sucks stuff happens like this.
Just remember injuries will heal, but people don't come back. Good luck with the case....

none of that **** is ours in the van....
the towing company threw all the trailer garbage in the van, then they tried to charge my insurance company for the $10 000 clean up they did, then we found out they we trying to charge buddy who caused they accident $10 0000 cleanup, long story short the towing company was trying to scam as much $$ as possible.. we fixed that issue lol.
actually to be honest before we left, i took out two 50 pound rocks(for the garden) that were in the back where that pot was. then i thought well i dont need to take my dog she is whiny. so i left her at my friends moms house, I think we had all our gaurdian angels watching out for us that day, when i was taking pictures the first cop came to me and said"its rude to take pictures!! they are probably dead in their" i said "no ones dead.. i was the driver" IMMEDIATLEY sits me down and doest let me move tell ambulance arrives lol. he said we should of been dead. all this cause his hitch on the trailer was to big for the ball he had on the truck(if that makes sense) and his chains where smaller then my dogs walking leash........

Damn blue, I hope things work out and this dude gets nailed for everything. I know I still have problems with my left knee after my one accident.

Thanks Dave...still working on it...you know what might be coming soon in replacement ;)
