well back in the day all the body parts were the same, except for the grill and head lights, and the tail gate. the interiors were the same just swap a GMC instead of a bow tie. for the trim logos, silverado or sierra.

The exteriors now are pretty close arent they? Seems like they looked the same until Chevy went to the slanted headlights and then they are the rectangle headlights now.

theres not one body part today that's interchangeable on today's chevy/GMC the body lines are different on the fenders, doors, and bed.

some of the hoods may fit and the tail gates will fit, but the tail gates are badged differently.

well they may have went back to the old way, i just looked up 2013 gmc and chevy, and they look almost the same, except the grill and tail gate and the interior, cluster and wheel seem to be the biggest difference. i still lean towards the GMC.
