questions regarding cam install

Hello, I'm installing a cam into a L67 and have a few questions. First, does the dot on the balance shaft point up or down when the timing marks align? Second, does the oil hole on the lifters point towards the front or back of the block? Thanks!



 


Balance shaft dot goes down. You will see the dot on the cam gear after you remove the cam timing sprocket.

Im pretty sure it does not matter which way the hole goes but try to keep them the same for wear pattern reasons.
