Questions on CV axles

Ok, my 01 GT with 78,000 miles is in need of new CV axles. The boots have leaked grease and the vibration during acceleration has increased.

I've read the "how to" posts a few times and it does not seem to be that difficult of a job with the correct tools.

I had been set on getting NAPA axles as they seem to be the ones that last the longest....from what i've read here.

My question is which of the NAPA ones are better? New or Remanufactured?

Also they have a them listed with "Optional Heavy Duty Thermoplastic Outboard Boot" for $17 more. Anyone have experience with these? Is it worth a few more $$?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks!! I just noticed the new have a lifetime warranty and the remans only have a 3 year. Guess i don't see any reason to even consider the remans.

NAPA does not have the heavy duty according to guy at the local shop. They are on backorder with no idea on when they'll be back in stock. Makes the decision that much easier. $68 a piece for the standard ones right now.
