• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

questions about visuals? look here!

its AWDsome
well theres alot of questions over and over. hopefully this will be the end to the visual questions.

things you can do to make it good:

wash and wax: nice wax can go along way.

rims: this will definitely make your ride stand out. our bolt pattern for our cars are 5x115. 5x114.3 works too. more details on bios page
http://www.grandprixforums.net/f60/got-some-wheel-questions-in-here-29622.html

lower it: this will definately help the cars look. theres pro and cons to lowering.
look at Bio's thread for more details
http://www.grandprixforums.net/f59/want-lower-your-car-look-here-28165.html

headlights/ taillights: this will give it uniqueness.
headlights: theres a few different options for the 97-03 guys. projectors, black housed, clear corners, or stock. these can be found on ebay, amazon, etc. retrofit will be your best bet for the most light output.
HIDs: these can be used for better lighting on the road. can be gotten at vvme.com, ddmtuning.com, amazon, where ever.
taillights: best looking ones are the tinted ones. FLIP on here does professionaly tinting and does an excellent job everytime. theres also other options, such as LEDs or chrome or altezzas. meh on those.

hoods: hoods can make the car or completely ruin it. list of them: SD, F1, GTX, cowl, WS6, special edition/40th anni, stock, custom. can be found at pfyc.com or 3800performance.com theres other places too.

spoilers: theres a few here too; SD, F1, special edition/40th anni/daytona, limited edition, SLP GTX gen 1, SLP GTX gen 2, stock. can buy SD, SLP GTX ones at pfyc.com or 3800performance.com others will have to be bought elsewhere.

roof rails: these were on the special editions/40th anni/daytonas. they are hard to find and expensive.

tint: tint will look good on every car. darker the better. watch the tint laws though! http://www.grandprixforums.net/f73/tint-laws-5011.html

grilles: the figure grilles street scene grilles are sold at pfyc.com. these are the 4 piece grilles found on some car.
w-body store sells GPO grill inserts, which are ~$120.
youll see some badges on some cars' grilles, you can do this by debadging your car then using some doublesided tape to stick them on. GT can just use the GT. GTP guys have to buy the GT and also take the P from PRIX which can be taken from the trunk.

Decals: few choices: rear inlays, front plate inlays, badge overlays, GPF decal, window banners, arrowhead overlays, etc. go to Reflective Concepts with your business. theyre easy to work with and have a great rep. http://www.reflectiveconcepts.com/

Exhaust Tips: pretty self explanitory here. you can go to your local exhaust shop to get some welded on.
if you want to keep stock: http://www.grandprixforums.net/f73/polishing-exhaust-tips-128.html

Paint: if you really want to turn heads, paint your car. for contrast, paint the lower fascias; the right color will look good.
http://www.grandprixforums.net/front-rear-bumper-paint-6563.html

LAST BUT NOT LEAST
DEBADGE: good first visual mod! you can make the grille set with the pieces you debadge.

Very nice 02GP thanks for taking my advice and creating this sticky :) Useful and even somethings i wouldnt have thought of.

^^ I second this... but I kinda like that not everybody and their brother and their dog has them like the perforated metal grilles.. but imo they are the best looking grille for our cars.

a little addition...

if you want to tint your tails and you have a black car, I recomend not to use vht, rustoleam, etc.. chances are the black they use will not match your cars color. the best option is to have it painted by someone with a mix of your correct color and clear.

What is required for the 114.3x5 wheels to work? Just because they are different sizes, it makes me believe that with my luck.... Knock on wood. I can find 5x114.3 all day long, but the 5x115's are slightly harder to locate.

you dont need hub rings, really. they might help out if the wheels dont balance out well just to keep them centered on the hub, but the wheels tend to be more lug-centric than hub-centric anyway because of the 60* acorn lug nuts you use.

Do it right the first time :) Always a good motto to live by! Are there any other stock wheels that won't kick the ABS light on?
