questions about the monsoon wiring..

okay does anybody have the color codes for the wires??

and im hooking an amp and sub up to the factory radio. im using a convertor box for the rca's.

the main question i have is, im trying to incorparte the factory amp into my other amp power. i had my rca wires coming from the rear spaker but i did not feel it was getting the factory amp power also. okay then i spliced some wires comming directly from the amp and it worked but it was the same. okay i tried some wires on the other side of the amp and BINGO i hit some amped wires. it was alot more power being put out now. my question is there is ports comming out of the factory amp. each little port has 2 wires comming out. i would guess (-) and (+) for that certin speaker that it goes to. well when i had it to the non amped wires coming out of the amp i used the two wires in the little ports and it worked. but now that im on the amped side it wont work like that. so i have one wire comming from an amped wire comming out of the factory amp (+) and i have to hit my (-) to the actuall speaker in the back. its alot louder than before. but should i have to do it like this to get it to work?? and in work i mean use the factory amp power also.

that might sound confussing if you dont know what the converter does.
since i dont have rca outputs i have a box that one side you plug in the rca's and the other side is speaker wires. you run the speaker wires to a (+) and (-) on a speaker and thats how you get your sound. from the box the rca's run into the amp. pretty much it splices the rca's and instead of getting the sound from the rca outputs on the back of the radio, you run speaker wire to the exsisting speakers and it works the same.

i think its okay the way i have it but im just wondering if it could be better..

Radio 12v orange + radio harness
Radio Ground black/white - radio harness
Radio Ignition (Class 2 Serial Data)
Radio Illumination gray (dimmer) + radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on same as power antenna wire
Power Antenna purple + radio harness
LF Speaker +/- tan - gray +,- radio harness or amplifier
Notes: The amplifier is under the rear deck.
RF Speaker +/- lt. green - dk. green +,- radio harness or amplifier
LR Speaker +/- brown - yellow +,- radio harness or amplifier
RR Speaker +/- dk. blue - lt. blue +,- radio harness or amplifier

The colors don't match up exactly, but so far I have found the pin locations at the amp to be correct. I have also found that the line level out from the Monsoon head unit is very low voltage and requires a line driver if you are adding and aftermarket amp.

Here is some other stuff that might help: 06 Monsoon sounds like crap

In my O6 the two rear 6x9 subs are running in parallel and appear to be on a mono feed. I tapped in with T-taps on the output side of the Monsoon amp and fed that to the RE-Q unit. Not perfect but it seems to work pretty well after I messed with what little control is available in terms of tuning.

Hope this helps and Good luck!!
