The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
should my car get 195-200* with a 180stat and proper fan settings? ive bled the system by just opening the bleeder and letting the car run.....coolant drips slowly from it but doesnt squirt out....helpy
mine can get there no problem, especially on these 99* weather days. Just check to make sure both fans work and levels are ok. No need to stomp it when your extra hot.
With my 160* I run close to 180 in the summer...so 20* over what your thermostat/fans are at isn't unreasonable. An OE t-stat would probably have you running around 215 on a hot day...like blue said accessories factor in also.
Should be two things holding you back from running nearly T stat temps. Flow is the first. If you've never researched or checked out the coolant turn that happened in the LIM right under the TB, it can be a restriction. Secondly a thicker core radiator may be necessary to adequately cool.
