Question regarding gas

Ive heard you have to run premuim gas after getting a tune. Do I really have to? I drive around alot because my gp is my daily driver...and id rather not spend the extra money on gas if i dont have too. What would happen if i ran regular?

Wow you want to mod your car, but don't want to buy premium. Its like $2-4 extra at the pump. I drive 80 miles a day and run premium.

Did anyone notice he's not running a blower? The question should really be, would a tune for an l36 really take full advantage of the timing advance available when using 91 versus 87.

ive ran 87/89 octane a few times since getting my tune and have had no problems. maybe its in my head but im almost sure i have more power when running premium

You should really. Also, how do you find your car's performance and gas mileage with the mods you've got?

id say run premium in all cars really, well worth the extra $1.20 on a full tank of gas.
better gas mileage and better performance, cheapest modd you can buy.

the performance is a HELL of alot better then stock. the pcm was my final mod and i noticed the most difference with it. the gas milage pretty much remains untouched

I'm still rocking half of an l36 :p
Yes, you have to use premium with a tune.

Yeah, I'm looking to do that in another couple years granted the car makes it. I see no reason for that not happening other than if someone decides to crash into it. Winter turns bad drivers into weapons. :th_skull:
