The Blue One
the whine is determined mainly by the intake and TB setup...a ported blower helps a little bit but it is not the difference...I noticed more whine with the N* install than I did back when I got the blower intalled...
Not really...that is the entire reason for filling the slits in the blower case. They are there stock to keep it quiet. Or for the fact of the larger V. Plus, I bet you got more whine when I moved your intake setup when the intercooler was installed
The epoxy staying put will not be an issue enless you can really mess something up during the install. There is hardly any pressure where the slits are and not NEARLY enough to push something like that out if that's what you guy's were refering to.
Don't the rotors run over the slits too? How does that work? It has as much contact to the rotors as the blower outlet does for the most part...
Anyone who has ever messed with a good amount of blower cases knows that sometimes they are pretty scared inside of the casing from when the bearings wear out and the rotors rub.
What do you think is hapening to all of those shavings/peices?? Exactly. Inside your engine.
I think though...that the Epoxy is a way harder, and THICKER material than the rotor coating is by far. Plus, when the rotors begin to lose their coating it doesn't all come off at one it is little by little IMO. Not enough to damage anything...but, a chunk of JB Weld, Epoxy, or even Quiksteel would scare me enough to not do that unless I had a IC to block it incase something did happen.
The epoxy has been tested for some time now and has yet to fail. I can only speak for the sucess that we have had working with it both inside the blower inlets and inside the S/C slits.
Not trying to kill your business on it Parker. I never said it was 100% a bad thing, I just said I personally wouldn't trust it...but again, it is opinion, and that is just how I feel about it ya know?
