Question about my tune...

Hey guys,
So here i go with another question lol. So i bought a reptile tuned pcm from another member on here, he says its tuned for hv3, intake and i think downpipe. Along with all the basics. Im switching from a zzp 1.0. Heres my concerns or atleast areas im in need of suggestions on what i should do. The reptile pcm has much much much softer shifts they feel stock except for that the shifts come at much higher speeds (od at 51ish) at w.o.t in 1st it shifts at around 6300rpms, is this safe on stock valve springs? I have er rockers zzp says mine are 1.9I/1.7E. Also i have 3-1 skip shift but no 4-2. Now the good news is that whatever tweaking has been done to accommodate an hv3 dp and intake is amazing because the car pulls way harder all the way to 6300, the car feels quicker. So i like retiles pcm but i really want my 4-2 skip and id really like my firm shifts back. Should i just install a shift kit? Or would anyone here be willing to tune in my 4-2 skip and raise line pressure? Thanks guys.

The only thing hard shifts and the 4-2 skip will do is hurt your trans. There is no benefit to it at all.

Ok you guys have never steered me wrong so i will leave those be. How about 6300rpm with 1.9's on stock springs?

theres no power being made spinning it to 6300 with a stock cam. and stock spring? replace them with the 1.9's or replace em later on when one breaks.

So i can replace just the springs on my intake rockers they are the 1.9's

They are. 6300 is pretty high for stock springs. I have limited experience with na motors and valve float, but I would replace them all with l76 springs. They are cheap.

Ok ill look into a set asap. I didnt know the rockers where 1.9 1.7 er's untill after i sent a photo of them to tim at zzp. 1.8 1.85's would be safe.

Can't run 1.9's on stock springs as they are not made to handle the lift and exceed what the stock springs are made for. LS76 springs which are 90# @ 1.800 - (Part# GM12589774), add Viton Seals while you're in there (VVS-380), get reusable rocker bolts as well as the stockers are TTY... The LS76 springs are good up to .520 lift. The stock cam .258 with 1.9's = .490 lift so you'll be good.

if you're going to add air "IN" to the engine, I would look to add room for more air "OUT", ie, headers, etc.

btw, there's no reason to be above 5800 on the stock cam, it isn't doing anything other than revving the engine and wasting gas and possibly causing damage if you persist.

I have air in and out, my mods list is hv3, er rockers, plog, ubend delete, highflow cat, fwi. I already have reusable rocker bolts i got some to install the er's. 6300 is a guestimate but at w.o.t the needle is well past 6k into the red area.
