question about low coolant sensor,fuel level sensor,and the

ive been doing alot of reading on this forum and it is very helpful,although much of it is a foreign language to me lol.and i apologize if im asking a repetitive question,i have used the search and havent quite got my answer.anyway the low coolant sensor ive learned is in the overflow.can that sensor be replaced or does the whole overflow canister have to be replaced.and really the radiator and overflow are full can i just unplug the sensor and how?the other question is the fuel level sensor.i think i have learned that you can get to it from inside the car,but it says too pull the carpet up to get to it and the thread i read was describing a four door.so is it the same technique for a two door?
 


The coolant level sensor is in the top of the overflowtank, its replaceable. The fuel sending unit/pump is accessable through the trunk floor. Pull up the carpet and there will be a access panel held down with a few speed nuts. Remove the speed nuts, peel up the access panel, and your pump/sending unit is right there.

Pics of low coolant sensor? My low coolant light is on in my 2001 after I did the lim gaskets and I know the system is full with no air in there. Car runs like a dream , I just hate seeing that light on....
 


hey jay.i had my mechanic friend helping me replace my outer tie rods.i was discussing the low coolant sensor.he showed and swears that this sensor is actually attached to the radiator just below the fill cap,that it was a simple pull out and plug a new one in.is this correct?
 
I know my 97 and my 98 are different under the hood, and I was sure the coolant level sensor was in the overflow bottle on the 97. I could very well be wrong. Is your overflow bottle on your car (I believe I read somewhere it was a 97?) along the passenger side fender? Or is it tucked up against the firewall on the passenger side, or is it over on the drivers side? I think those are the 3 locations GM put the bottles over the years.

thanks everyone.and to add jay i also did an internet search,i think another site but the guy diagramed in pictures just how to get to it.its a bit tricky on the radiator where its at,so he showed a nice little trick where if you take the passenger side headlight assembly out(like two bolts and a screw)you can then reach right in and unplug it and put another one in same way.
 


My coolant sensor has been replaced and then disconnected. They're notorious for not workling and I was tired of seeing the light in spite of having new coolant (and plenty of it) as well as a new sensor.
 
I know i might not get another response on this thread,but what i was wondering is if i do end up pulling the sensor off will coolant actually come out from where its plugged(a few people have told me yes).Also if i do pull it do i have to reset anything or unhook the battery?
