got an oil change today...as i was leaving i notice they put 5w 30 instead of 10w 30. I drove 3 miles..should I be worried?

Nope. Read your manual. Either will work, depending on temperatures where you live...one can be better or the other.

checked my manual..am i misled by the chart to think i'd be better with 10w-30?
I'm in KS and the weather in summer here has been like 45~94F.

Thats not true you can switch and your motor will never know the differance. Like running a syn. blend which is a mixture of both oils. To the OP the only differance between 5w-30 and 10w-30 is that 5w-30 will flow better in below 0 temps. during a cold start up. After both oils are up to temp they are the same.

ok..didn't mean to start any debate..but thanks for all inputs.

and no, not having a garage and summer temp doesn't make it look so fun to me;
