so im trying to put my mod pulley system on and for some reason I got the pulley off but I cant get it on I noticed like 2 helicoils on the bolt thread but seems to me the 5/8 inch bolt you use to use the hub install is cross threaded I believe the person before me at zzp cross threaded it before me now I cant get the allen key to catch on the inside of my sc snout any suggestions?

Are you talking about the shaft in the middle?

I bought a used one for myself and when I went to make sure everything worked the inner threads for the main shaft was a little cross threaded. I had to take it to work and have one of the techs use a tap/dye kit and fix the threads. the little allen head bolt that goes into it to install a hub is a little loose going in, but once its all the way in its tight.

Might be a way to fix yours, the cross threading is usually only on the first couple threads anyways so it should be easy to fix.

Unless were talking about to separate things.

yea well the one I rented from zzp had cross threaded threads in the very tip caused me to have to hammer my hub on now my ****s all ****ed up I cant screw in my allen keys bolts to hold in the pulley im going to write them and tell me they sent me faulty pulley remover and see if I can get another hub now im wondering if I can remove it froom the snout :/

Just get a m8x1.25x60mm or so with a few washers and just blast it on the snout, had to do that once in a pinch and it worked fine.

I hope they do something because the hardware they gave me was jacked up so I had to .make due with what I had I just don't understand how they dont Inspect tools that they loan out esp when your paying $100 for it to use

Yea I know but when ypyr trying to do. A simple install and u have the pulley off and have faulty tools then you got.to make shift with what you got and my rubber mallot wasn't doing.justice once I get out class im going to.invest in a tap and die set and have at the hub to.see if I can male.new threads in it and buy some new hard ware the Allen .key bolts I have are all double threaded now
