• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

PSA: Transmissions DO NOT run off magic smoke: Proof inside! (DIY Rebuild time guys)

That was always my feeling. Plus..my garage was often clean enough that it wasn't an issue. Barefoot engine/trans swaps. I dare ya

I did mine in flip flops, and it wasn't so bad, until you get transmission fluid on it. Then it gets slick and you damn near fall out of your own shoe, lol.

Been there too.. just like a wet concrete floor in flip flops.. man..that can be a serious windmill opportunity

We like to live on the wild-side. Keeps our reflexes fast and helps our breaking dancing. Hey we could be wearing Crocs. It COULD be worse!

I look at it this way Joe. typically my feet aren't under the car when I am. Plus..if that 4x4 or chain let go...I'm crushed

Updated first post with more goodies! I know you would all prefer if I put them as the next post and what not but for future readers I want them to be able to just scroll the first posts and see it all instead of hunting and missing something. Sorry!!

Nice job on the bracket.. Although you might want to cut down the piece that sticks toward the side cover side. That'll get in the way.

Lmao... I know it doesn't matter, to each his own. Certainly not worried about dropping an engine or anything crazy on my toes with flip flops, but a wrench dropped always seems to find the most painful spot to hit on it's way down!

And now you know if you do happen to drop something on your freakin foot while working in flip flops, the first thought in your head will be to say @#&%@ you Coolone! Hahaha

Lol'd - tranny fluid windmill

I was flipflop or barefoot when the handle slid off the metal rod you use to turn the engine hoist. Right on the big toe nail.

Alright guys Update time!

Build went well, Have to install the Valve body/channel plate combo from Dave then seal everything up. I found a local trans shop that has a trans dyno, I am going to call and see if I can borrow it to test it out and not waste time putting it in if its DOA.

Chain and IS are all installed. Tight fit and a pain in the ass but it went in.

3000 stall converter showed up and is ready to go in.

Christmas break is when the thing will be installed provided it works.
