Projectors, retrofit or Premade?

I've been looking at installing projector headlights and HIDs for a long time now. Everyone knows these cars have terrible light output from the stock headlights. I trying to figure out which one is going to give me the most light output, premade or retrofitted projectors. I'm not interested in how they look just how well they perform. So I'd like to hear form everyone that has ether bought premade headlight form dashz, ebay, or done their own retrofit. Let me know what you think about them, likes dislikes, etc.
 


Since you have 97-03 I say just buy the premade ones since I see a lot of members with them. If you had 04+ I'd tell you to retrofit because it's been told so many times that the DashZ 04+ ones totally suck ass.
 
put HIDs in your stock housings. all of the projectors being sold at this point (unless you retrofit some on your own) are pretty crappy overall.
 
That is what I thought but i wanted to make sure before i went out and bought anything. When i do upgrade my headlights this summer I want it to make a big difference in visibility. Thanks Bio.

it all depend on what you call crappy, I have the projectors that have the 3 leds to the middle, the ligth out put is WAY better than stock, on low beam. The issue's i have with mine are, you cant adust them (or either i dont know how), the high beams are bright but shine to a spotlight type beam ( the beam paths meets ) and my dayum halos went out lol, other than that i like em'. I dont have hid's but im soon gunna throw in some slyvania silver stars.
 
Stay with the stock housing, unless you want to modify your own projectors...
The projectors look good, and typically seem to be a much better output, because people that get them have the super fogged/nasty stock headlights.

The projectors are a pain in the butt to aim, the tabs can break easily, and the cutoff isnt the best.

Im going to be going back to stock headlights with HIDs, and just blind the piss out of everyone down here.
