Projectors and HID's?

Alright doing some research but still unclear about a few things. I know that my 9007 bulbs won't work as the projectors use 9005 and H1 bulbs i believe. Now I'm curious as to how I could get these to work for HID's. Do I have to have 4 balistics or can I use 2. I don't need to have hi and low on at the same time so I figure that I could probably use one basltic for each light and that would power the hi and low for each bulb.

Am I lost here or what?
 


You need one ballast for each bulb, so if you wanted to have HID's in both the high and low beams you'd need four ballasts. You can buy H1 HID bulbs and use them with the ballasts you already have for your 9007 bulbs.

HID's really aren't the best option for the high beams, as they don't like to be flashed on and off quickly. I'd recommend replacing the 9005 high beams with 9011 HIR (halogen infrared refraction) bulbs, which are significantly brighter than standard halogens.
