Re: Project LQ4 - V8 S10 - Wiring... Ugh.

Slow progress. Working long hours during the week, and I had something I had to do this weekend...

I like the style of rat rods, I just think they would look better without all the rust.

I like shiny all over things not rust!

To each his own. I enjoy the variety.

Awesome! Looks like it would be entertaining as hell to take a stroll through that parking lot.

I spent hours just wandering around and talking to people.

My radiator hose "kit" came today

Re: Project LQ4 - V8 S10 - Wiring... Ugh.

I bet that was cheaper than building it out of actual hose too lol.

Ha! Yup. Probably by about $20 after all is said and done. It would have taken a minimum of three different hoses to build what I needed. Got the pipe locally and the fittings from McMaster.

LOL copper love it. I love sweatin that ****

Something very satisfying about seeing that lead getting sucked into the joint.

Haha no expense spared using copper
looks better then painted pvc !

Nothing but the best for the old fleet truck!

Re: Project LQ4 - V8 S10 - Wiring... Ugh.

Is there going to be enough flex in those 2 short pcs of rubber hose to absorb the flex when your motor torques up?

I honestly don't know. The motor is on solid poly mounts, so it shouldn't move too much, but I won't be certain until it's together and I powerbrake it. Hoping to find out soon!

Can't believe you didn't use muffler pipe! Blown glass would also be nice. One thing is for sure, you don't want a big sudden leak right there. Cool progress. I bet that event was a hoot!
