I wasn't sure what section to put this in but I figured this would be best...

Alright so for my 3d art class final I have to make something 3D that takes 5hrs. I want to make something practical that I will actually get use out of.. Doesn't have to be anything special or fancy last year my best friend spend like an hour on his and it was real simple lol

But anyways I was hoping to make something for my car? Maybe? First thing that came to mind was a sub box maybe? But I already have one so I don't need one and they're expensive to make.. Or can be. One idea I had was maybe take one piece of wood and line it up with my subs and cut out circles so it makes the subs even to the surface and have it go wall to wall in my trunk to make it look more stock and professional but idk.. Do you guys have any ideas if something to make for a car? Lol it doesn't have to be much

spoiler? exhaust tips? Rims.... grills, steering wheel, gauge pods, hood. I still like the fishy water fall idea

Haha if I could do a waterfall with fish I might consider it buttt I don't think so lol and by 3d it basically means just not a drawing it has to be somethin you can touch and hold

no clue what i would even begin to make roof rails out of... and if it can be done in 5 hrs why has someone not done it yet??

Use pieces of foam so you can cut it how you want with ease and then when its the shape you want make molds or something like that. I've never done it so I can't really tell you if that would work or not.

Could make a custom trunk lid mat that has 3D lettering and LED lighting like this http://www.grandprixforums.net/custom-trunk-lid-mats-more-27818.html

Make sure to look through the whole thread it's awesome.

THAT ACTUALLY A GREAT IDEA! my best friends dad owns a junkyard n I could probably get a spare trunk lid pretty easily.. It shouldn't be too hard to do and if I make it nice it'll be cool..

The thought of doing one similar to I think chamilton? With the speakers on the trunk lid went through my head but that'd be super tough n I just bought $240 worth of new interior speakers on cyber Monday (excited they should arrive tomorrow!) so I'm not tryin to spend a lot
