Problems

My daughters cars a/c gets cold and then flux between warm and cold. Believe it may be the blend door actuator. If it only has one climate control does that mean I only have one actuator to locate? And would it be in the lower center or pass side of dash? Also if it does sound like the actuator, would it trip the engine light to stay on till fixed? Daughter think its code had something to do with air circulation. Still I have to check code at parts store. Just curious till then. Any help is appreciated.

Need a little more info on the car first.

PM me the last 8 of the vin # and I can get you a blown up view of the actuators for the AC system.

actuators cant set a code, have the car scanned again, see what the code is for.

best bet for the a/c is to take the glove box off, and watch the actuators movement.

heres the how to, http://www.grandprixforums.net/blend-door-actuator-replacement-21941.html not sure if you have one or 2 of them, but when theres 2 they control the side they are on. so one side could be hot, and the other cold. if you take them off you can turn the little knob they control manually to hot or cold. as a test.

Vin is 61299877. Also just told her tie rod end and wheel bearing needs to be replaced. Any special tools needed for this repair? And do I buy the expensive bearing and is it ABS? Thanks for the help and any tips are appreciated.

tie rods are easy, take the nut off the bottom, then hit the steering knuckle with a hammer where it bolts through. it will pop right out.

the hub, you need a 36 mm socket, (for the axel nut) and a pipe or a air gun to get it off. the rest is normal hand tools.
