Problems with my car bogging down?

well i currently own a 98 gtp supercharged and i have this problem. When i push on the gas from a stopped position my car bogs down and amost stalls than it will go fast. this happens all the time and i need it fixed am afraid of pulling out, out of fast food restraunts and greenlights. anyone know how to fix it?

to add on to what TDC said, scan it to check for codes and another thing that is easy to do is check your fuel pressure. I had this problem once, it was low pressure and needless to say the FP was bad.

I was going to mention fuel pressure. Glad you remembered lol. Also what kind of maintence have you done on the car.

i currently have done nothing and the service engine light has been on for a while ever since i bought it i need to catch up on some of the work... ill check the fuel pressure stuff but i also need to check the fuel filter as well.

okay low rpm it like seems to want to stall out and almost does. it has stalled out once. when i give it gas from a stop or while moving it like all of a sudden drops rpm and almost stalls...then revs up real high all of a sudden because the gas peddle is pushed down.

so it idles funny, like it is hunting for an idle? you might have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Check all your vac hoses and make sure everything is connected. However, if you dont have a scanner...take it by a local autoparts store and have them tell you the code(s) you are getting.

say i got a dumb question hoe do i go about putting a pic of my car there where the x is at sorry but could i get some help im very new at this i just joined

update: i got the scan and it says the man. absolute pressure/baro or maf (mass air flow)/ vaf (vane air flow) sencor could be bad, vaccume hose cracked, off, or cracked/ map/barometer is defective
throttle body intake tube loose, off, or cracked
