problems with mounting new front struts on my 2002

I just bought new Monroe front struts and started to mount them and they are extended 1 inch to far to hookup to the knuckle anybody had this problem ive tried to collapse them and no luck any help out there

So you can't get either bolt on the knuckle started??

The 3 bolts on top are in their holes right?

Had that problem with them doing that. Had to stand on the LCA to move it enough to slip the bolts in.

Just stick a pry bar in the lower control arm and push it down, then slip a bolt in the knuckle/strut. Done.

Mine were too long to, just pry down but be sure you put the top bolt in right or you can ruin the bolt and the steering knuckle.
