Problem with rear speakers in cold weather

I have a strange problem with my rear speakers that I haven't been able to figure out. First of all..if it is important: I have an '05 GP GT with the Monsoon system.

When the car is cold the right rear speaker sounds blown. Just vibrations, muffled sound, etc. Even if I put the fade on the stereo all the way to the "front", the muffled sound still is still audible from the right rear speaker.

After a while, when the interior warms up a bit, the muffled sound goes away and the speaker sounds normal and quite good actually for stock speakers. I wasn't looking to spend a bunch of money on aftermarket components, but I have the Monsoon system and apparently you can't just replace the rear speakers due to how the stock amp is wired to the speakers (bass and treble are wired seperately apparently??)

This might not be relevant either, but I was looking at it from underneath and playing with the speakers and when I reach my fingers through the speaker and touch the bottom side of the speaker cone, the right one is really noisy, even when not powered on, when I push it up and down. The left one makes very little noise.

I saw another post here from someone that had a situation where the rear speakers didn't work at all until they "warmed up", but since I have a little different symptom, I thought maybe someone had a different insight into it.

Thanks,

Ryan

you can replace them with a quality componenet set. you can get a set for under $100. just wire the mid bass to the woofers wiring and wire the tweeter to where the high frequency driver is wired. there's no need for a crossover.
