problem w/dhp scantool but reflashes fine???

odd problem that came up today while trying to scan and log via powertuner. reflash works fine but when i try to run the scantool option, anbd press connect, it loads and the small gauges appear but nothing's running(cars on and running mind you). when i click the disconnect button it gives me an error saying something(should of written it down but didnt[:'(]).

doesnt anyone know what im talking about though? i also notice on my belkin keyspan aside from the green led that flickers, the other 2 red leds also flicker which usually dont. i closed the dhp powertuner software and reopened but no good, even restarted the laptop and still didnt help.
 


I've never used the powrtuner scantool, just under the assumption everyone knew it was garbage... Most of us use UVscan and just read/edit/write with powrtuner software.
 
does the uvscanner read tranny pcs and other tranny paprameters? i have the older version of uvscanner but i dont think i ever gotten it to read/scan properly :-\

thanks for the screen shot of trans parameters. whats the link to get the latest uvscan? and its not uvscanning.com doesnt work :-p
 
I had a similar problem not long ago. It would flash, but it would not scan. Turns out my serial cable had a pin that was busted. Check if your pins are working fine end to end.

You can also use the keyspan SW to test the adapter's send and receive.

i have the same version i think, v8.12.08b p2 unless theres a newer one im not aware of? ah keyspan software. i imagine i can just google search keyspan software and it'd be the first few results?
 


Check if they also conduct voltage end to end. The pins may be alright, but no connectivity (which was my case).

The keyspan drivers should've installed a test/configure application too. Search in your programs menu, it should be there too.
 
i'll look around in my laptop for the keyspan test thingy. switching to the UV Scan, anyone know or can test their uv scan whether the OSS/ISS is functioning in their scans?
