Problem shifting to second & scraping sound

I have two problems with the transmission on my 1998 GTP.

1. Shifting problems - In order to get the tranmission to shift into 2nd gear I have to lift my foot off the gas pedal. It will then shift to 2nd. When slowing down there is a "clunk" when it shifts down to 2nd. Getting code P0751 when I plug my scanner in.

2. Noise - In 1st and 2nd there is a scraping sound. The sound is only present when accelerating in 1st & 2nd. Once in 3rd this sound goes away.

The transmission fluid and filter have both been replaced recently.

My questions:

1. How easy is it to get to the solenoids to clean them?
2. Any ideas on what the scraping sound is?
3. Would a transmission flush help?

Thank you in advance.

With a stuck off, I'd start off ohming the solenoid based on the wiring. This can be done by popping off the connector at the trans. I think there's info on TripleEdgePerformance.com for the resistances or in the trans info link by me here on the site. From there, I'd probably pick up a soleniod and or internal wiring harness before going in.
