PRJ rails and full size IC...

I just got the PRJ rails in the mail and I was looking over the install disc. It seems that the FPR adapter bolts to the PCV valve cover. I would think this would cause a hood clearance issue when running a full size IC. This is all going to be installed when I do my top swap and I'm just trying to iron out as many issues as possible before I actually go through with it. Anyone have the PRJ rails on a full size IC set up?

The PRJ rails sit on the side of the S/C and are made for clearance issues...they make more room than the stock rails.

I understand that. But when you have a fuel pressure regulator that bolts to the PCV cover, which is attached to the blower, it's going to raise up with the blower when you put the IC under it.

It doesn't really matter though. The man himself answered my question. He says it will clear stock and aftermarket hoods with full size ICs. He said he's even installed them on cars with 2.5" Thrasher ICs with no issues.

im sure a custom manifold could be made easily

This is true, but then you are pretty much forced to cut a hole in the hood. The 60* engine is much taller than the 90* motor. I have a plenum swap with 3/8 or 1/2" phenolic spacers under it and the engine harness that runs in front of the plenum hits the hood liner.

Please excuse the dirt.

BIG BLAK is getting the top swap. Once I figure out how to reliably put an m90 on the 3400 in ROB D, I'll rule the world. :th_king-evil:

haha my bad forgot Rob D is a 3400:o. hey can you get pic of the rail. i been wanting his rail too for awhile now but undeciding if i want to spend almost $500 for it.

PRJ fuel rails are the BEST you can buy for our cars. there is no thought in my mind that i would buy a set if i needed some rails.

way more expensive, but id have to see yours to even think about comparing them. PRJ rails are straight up top notch, anodized and everything.

they arent rails, they are logs.

yea, anodizing is cool, but mine will be powdercoated. they are pretty much the same thing, there is not much variance you can do on a fuel rail design

Weird, I thought I posted the pic of the rails. I guess not.

This is how they come out of the box. There is also a FPR adapter cube so you can run the stock FPR. It just sits in this square of aluminum and is secured by 4 screws. It even comes with a pdf file on cd to tell you how to install them. It's full of pictures too.

Shlick...I want some...bad. Sorry to be a bit off but what size fuel lines are you running on that setup?

As in, what size lines are pictured there? Or what size fuel lines will I be running to the supply and return on the rail setup?

I'm not sure exactly. The stock L36 lines won't work without kinking so I've got to make a set of lines. Probably AN-6 lines.
