Price to sell Buick Century at?

Hey I just bought a Buick Century from my friend for cheap and I'm looking to sell it. How much should I ask for? It's a 1997 with 128k. It has a new inspection, good tires, and the body is in good condition. Only thing I found wrong with the car is the turn signals burn out over time.

I will post up some pics when I get home from work. There are a few things I found wrong with the car though. The gas gauge isnt working properly and the back window won't roll down. Anyone know how to fix the gas gauge? It reads incorrectly, I think I read somewhere that it could be the sender in the gas tank? Is that easy to fix? I can do motor work but never really messed with dropping a gas tank before.

Gauge is likely a sender (rockauto for the best price)
Window is typically a regulator (ebay/amazon)

Then look at your semi local craigslist for what they are selling at. List in that area and clean up.

Yea I looked at craigslist and there are really only two for sale in the area. One is an 01 selling for 3800 from a used car dealership and the other is a 03 selling for 6k. So i couldnt really get a real estimate of what I should let this 97 go for. I ended up posting it up for 2700 and received two replies, hopefully that aren't scammers. But I only paid 500 for the car so I cant really complain with a 2200 gain. Just hoping I couldnt of gotten too much more for it.

IIRC you have to drop the tank on that year to get to the sender as it's part of the fuel pump. Then you have to be sure you have the correct sending unit based on the sticker on the harness as I believe there were 2 different ones.

Alright so someone off craigslist wants to buy the car. But apparently they are in the USAF and have restricted calling, so I won't be able to talk to them on the phone. They want to purchase it as a surprise bday gift for their father, so they do not want me to contact him either and will have a private courier pick the car up. They offered to pay via paypal. Do you think this is a scam? I've never really dealt too much with paypal but hear it is a trusted way to make payments via the internet. How can I make sure I'm not scammed in this process? Thanks in advance for any response.

But if I have them send me payment via paypal before letting them pick the car up or anything, is there a way they can cancel the transaction afterward?

Or if they do paypal you it will be from a frauded account. Never do a courier pick up. 99% of the time, its a scam. Especially on Craigslist.
