prepping for a paintjob?



on pretty much any spray can it says dry to the touch. it was about 20 minutes between coats-dry to the touch. the tape pulled fine off the car. it just took some dip with it. I pulled the tape very shortly after the last coat was dry to the touch. I guess i'll try less time between coats next time.
 
Yea when it comes to plasti dip you want to try to remove the tape while its still wet to avoid pulling any of the dip off.
 
i kid you not one bit. i prepped this whole truck de greased at least 5 times,washed down with a hotsy power washer, then sanded with a DA sander, and every where it didn't fit by hand, then did all the masking of the frame and cab. some one else painted it, outside in a dirt lot, with wind lol, with oil auto paint. truck was sent out to be lettered. paint came out pretty damn good if i dont say so myself...
