Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Powerlog and 10.4mm PRJ's

Just installed my 304 Coated PLOG, AL605s and 10.4mm wires. Install was gravy on the powerlog. The plugs and wires left me with a few nicks and scratches but I'll live.
There's a lot more room on the back of the 3800 than the 3400, but the front plugs on the 3400 are much easier to work on. I guess they both have their maintenance difficulties.
Overall, I'm really pleased with the gains. No more light KR except at WOT at the top of each gear. I assume that it's leaning out. Pulls great through the entire rpm range. The engine seems a little louder inside the car too.

Awesome. I really wish ZZP would make a rear PLOG that would work with the EGR and such. I know there's not as much restriction back there, but it still would be nice to have.

I have the wires as well. I'd say don't get them for performance reasons - get them to give you engine some pop. I got red for my Impala for some contrast. For my GP, when I had them replaced I just had AC Delcos.

I got them for durability above other reasons. The stockers tore up as I took them off.

True. When I took the factory wires off, I didn't even try to do it easy knowing I'd be swapping. I have been able to remove factory ones doing it slow and steady. What I don't really like about the PRJs is they don't completely cover the plugs.

I broke a few of the fins on my Impala's alternator before I found a good place to put the ratchet straps and rotate the engine. It's been working fine for the past year.

This happened while trying to remove my factory plugs. :(

Boot tore straight off the crimp. I also hated the factory heat shield setup. Glad I no longer have it.

Same thing happened to mine. I thought what a bunch of cheap crappy wires.
I like the look of my PRJs, they def get attention when people look under the hood. Plus coming from Paul you know they are good quality and will last

I've already had to take them off a few times working on my exhaust, and they come off easy and go on easy. Could have something to do with making sure I put dielectric grease each time, but regardless the huge boots let you get a good grip. And being bendable makes it even better! :th_biggrin2:

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Having that M90 on top must really get in the way. I changed the rears without even touching a ratchet strap. But then again, you've seen how scrawny my arms are.

Haha. The work I did on my Impala was the first time I decided to do a lot of work myself. The biggest thing I did before then, outside of oil changes, was changing a fuel filter. So I wanted to make sure I did it right on the Impala.
