Power Windows Help Needed...

Hey Guys,

So my girlfriend just bought a 2000 GTP last week which has about 90K miles. The owner stated that the front passenger and rear drivers windows did not roll down but that he believed that it was the switch in the drivers door. He said he was told that the controls on all the other doors are wired through the drivers door so if I were to replace that switch should fix everything.

I purchased a whole new drivers bezel which had the switches, locks, etc. put it in last night and still the same issue. The front drivers and rear passenger windows work fine but the opposite rear drivers and front passengers still do not. The previous owner had said that three of the power window motors had been replaced since he has owned the car so he knew that the motor were not the issue and why he believed it was the switches.

Anyone have any clues as to what this could be or heard of this issue before? I am hoping is it nothing too complicated that I can fix myself. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

yea im in the process of changing mine as well... drivers side won;t roll up

prepare to spend about $40 a regulator used and over $100 for each new

Basically pull of the door panel, unhook the regulator, then unhook the window from the brackets as the regulator and brackets are one piece. If the window is up its quite a ***** to unhook. Then put the new mechnism in and let the window drop a little and hook it up to the metal brackets. Just a little advice, make sure u look at the brackets still in the car so you know the exact positioning the metal wires are supposed to be in.

I have the same exact problem and I have already replaced the regulators/motors. Have you had any success at a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
