My car is an 04, and I have the nuisance of when I start out in the day, the effort in my power steering is normal, but after a while, it's really stiff at coasting speeds; a real pain in the butt when I go park in the garage! I don't have variable assist (I checked the sticker; it said N40), so what would also cause the wonky steering? No fluid leaks either; my older Grand Prix taught me the meaning of a blown rack & pinion steering gear! And without any pump noise, I can't pin down any obvious hydraulic issues... any ideas?
