Power steering low and high lines

Over the summer the shop replaced the high pressure line and cut out a peace of the low pressure line where it was leaking, they inserted a rubber tube and clamped it on both sides. Since August the low pressure line came loose twice on the right side where they inserted the clamp. The tube blow off so they inserted another clamp a total of 2 on the right side. Just 2 weeks ago it came loose again and I had to get the car towed to the shop. They said it came off again after I gave them **** they fixed it by putting apparently another clamp total of 3, I haven't looked myself to verify that. But why is that it keeps on falling off? Are they using the wrong clamps? Is there some other clamp I can get myself that is used for this? I just don't want the dam thing to come loose again.

the return line with the rubber hose to the pump should not be blowing apart, its not under any real pressure.

sound sliek they spliced in some new rubber tube, did they use a barbed tube to connect them?

like this.

That is correct it's low pressure so surprise it's blowing off. The second time they flared the tube and slide it over the existing metal hose. I don't think they used a Barbed tube, should they?

it can keep the hose gripped tighter, maybe they are using the wrong size tube?

could just be time to replace the line too.

I wanted to replace the line instead but they said and I even called few parts place to get a low pressure line for a 2008 GP is about $400, everywhere I call they normally cut out the bad piece and put a rubber tube only for the low pressure line.

400 is retarded money for a line. no idea other then no barbs on the tube ir the hose is just shot to hell on the old line side, my guess is thats the side coming off?

tell me about it, I thought they were joking when they told me about the price for the low pressure line, so I called few places that I normally go to and sure enough it was that much. Its coming off only at one side (right), will take a picture later today so you have a good idea of what they did. Its possible they used to big of a hose I guess. If I use a Barbed tube would one side just slip into the existing metal hose that is there?

Im not sure if they do but u can also use them to find a part # and then go find it elsewhere online look like amazon etc

Thanks will have a look, I will upload a picture of the repair that the shop did and wanted to see from you guys if they used to big of a rubber hose for the return line. Will take some pictures when the weather gets better.

Had a look at the low line and it seems they used the right size rubber hose.

Is the clap okay that they used?

K thanks surprise it came off twice, unless they didn't use those clamps before. But the connection seems secure.

You need to separate those 2 hard lines where they are touching or you are going to have another leak shortly.
