I was wondering about powder coating my supercharger.

If I were to give it to a local business to powder coat, what should I know about before doing so?

Someone said I need to strip it down, what does this consist of?

And is this safe to do?

Take everything apart, including needle bearings, take snout apart, take bbv out. When they powdercoat it they sandblast it and all the particles will cease the bearings or cause the bbv to stick. They also heat it up after which may cause further problems. You need to strip it down and clean it out real well after they coat it and then rebuild it.
