• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Post your internet speed!

Slow today, though guess it puts me at the fastest so far.:th_king-evil:

You don't want to know.........you REALLY don't want to know.

Ok, yea you do (well, maybe you do, who knows)

Again, not too impressive.....

But if anyone wants to compare specs of their actual PC's (not internet speeds) bring it. ;)

Well what are your computer specs?

Cuz your internet is terrible, it doesnt matter how fast your computer is with that speed it must take forever to load a webpage or video... mine never has any load time.

Yea, I realize the connection (or lack thereof) between internet speed and physical computer hardware speed, but I still like to think I've got a semi-decent computer.....even if the internet is below crap.

Don't know if you're big into CPU-Z, but here is a link to most of my system specs.
CPU-Z Validator 3.1
If you want other info I can give it to ya.

Yea.....which i5 you talking about? If it's one of the new Sandy Bridge processors I'm almost jealous.........if it's the 2500k I'm extremely jealous.
That and step up to a 1TB drive man. I'm running a 1TB WD Caviar Black and loving it. I do a fair amount of video related stuff though so for me the extra space is filled up fairly fast.

Oh, and yea, your vid card pretty much sucks lol. I upgraded from my ATI HD 3450 (VERY sucky card) to a Sapphire 5770 Vapor-X for gaming and it's got to be the best $130 I've probably ever spent. Well, ok, I had to spend some on a bigger PSU too, but hey, it's worth it. Absolutely LOVE the card though.

Yea, my parents got the computer last year, idk what sandy brdge is but the processor runs at 3.32ghz.

1TB hard drive became much more affordable like a month after we got the computer...

Video card is terrible, have to play games on low settings.

But hey 8 gigs of ram!

I don't see any solid state drives in you guys lists. You would benefit a lot from one. Less than 10 second boot up times to Windows desktop possible. No lag from old mechanical drives, with nearly instant seek times. Best bang for the buck I spent on the PC. Use the mechanical drives for storage.

Nah.....

Too much money for the storage space.

You don't want to use them for the storage. I set them up for the Operating System and any programs. Blink of an eye and Microsoft Word is open. You then use your mechanical drive for storage. Have the best of both worlds. Think of it as dual charging with a supercharger and turbo except much simpler.

They also have alot higher shock resistance which is good for laptops.
