If you don't want to let a future employer call them, then don't bother. Just work right up to the minute you want to quit. Unless you're looking for unemployment - then giving them reasons to fire you is helpful.

unless you signed a "at will paper", which means you can quit or be fired at will. no notice needed then.

2 weeks notice is the norm so your old job has some time to replace you. but on the flip side, ive never been given 2 weeks to find another job, always sent packing if fired. or laid off on a Monday with no notice.

my last job forced my hand and i walked the F out on them, flat, and i got unemployment even after they tried denied my claim. and i had a at will paper that they had me sign.

Hm. Well I didn't sign anything and not sure what state law is. I work part-time so I doubt I'd qualify for unemployment.

or like me. i was part time then i was full time, took the place of the full time driver who went out on medical leave, then he came back and they just told me work was slow, we'll call you, 2 weeks of this crap, i get called in only to find the guy i replaced took my job. by law that dont fly, i got UI.

My Random Thought of the Day comes from the mind of my awesome girlfriend.

She had to have a CT scan or something done today. I get a text that reads this:

"For my scan they wrapped me up tight and told me to stay straight and stiff. Then they pushed me in and out of a hole for 45 minutes. I now know what its like to be a penis."
 
Solved my girl problem.

Gave her an ultimatum so to speak.
Either you're telling your friends about us and it'll be all good.
Or tell me why you can't tell them.

She just said "i cant be in a full relationship, its just too much"
So i said to her, "I'm done giving my all into this then, I'm still here for you, but only as a friend until you're ready or until we've found someone else."

and we just left it at that.
Still best friends, i just set the limit, no more dating couple things. Just friends.

I feel a lot better too :D

Yay we're all learning. My sweet n sour done went out of town so I won't see mine for 7-10 days. Can't tell if it's a good or bad thing. LOL
