Re: Random Thought Thread 2.0
yeah, I have a crate/kennel thing for her, she stays in it while I'm at work. But if I'm at home I can't see her being locked in it. She sleeps with me, mainly because I can't stand whimpering and especially at night and such, my sleep is numero uno. She sleeps fine, I sleep fine, it's a win win.
if you cant give your full attention to the pup while at home, crate it, its for the best, safety wise for the pup, till it gets older.
covering the crate with a blanket so the pup cant see out, helps a lot with the night time whimpering. and make sure the crates not to big, if so they "WILL" pee in the corner and stay on the other side, then you need to clean the crap out of everything.
the best advice for house training is, when the pup is in the crate, or your bed all night lol before the pup gets up. (or any time is a sleep) take it out side to piss, this way it will learn "this is where we go potty", and you'll learn the look of a pup who want to piss real fast if not already, they will be running all over the place playing, then just stop, get that blank look on their face, then squat lol when you see that blank stare pick the dog up and take it outside, to the pee area. and tell the dog go pee pee or what ever you want, every time, they learn like that. remember it dont speak English....it needs to learn commands some how, this should be its first command.
i got my dog at 8 weeks old, by 10 weeks, 2 weeks of having him, he was going to the door and barking to go out. most are quick learners, as dogs dont like to crap where they live, unless left no choice. pups piss a lot too lol
dont know if you have this by you but "nature's miracle" works great for killing pet stain odors, so good that the dog cant smell it either. they smell piss and associate it as this is where i go. so kill the smell and they dont get the urge to piss on that spot no more.

this is good stuff, it will make sure you get your security deposit back when your lease is up lol
and bitter apple spray works good to keep them from chewing on stuff you don't want them to chew on. rugs, shoes, all that good stuff, even furniture legs.
