Nothing works, speakers or headphones. New software drive won't fix it either :)

But oh well, I still have another desk to the back of me that plays talk radio way to loud.


I dislike talk radio if you didn't notice.

My job is going to give me a stress induced heart attack before I turn 35.

We are on a tight schedule at work and I put PO's in at my vendor over a month ago in planning for production. I sent an email today reminding them of the need for the next PO on Wednesday and there will be a backhaul.

I got a response 15 minutes later basically saying "Well, we've shut down a few times because of the heat and call offs so it's going to be Monday before we can get you that order."

I WENT OFF!!!!! I basically told them that the order has been in for over a month and that they knew my required by date long ago. I told them we have been dealing with the heat too and working long hours in it. I also told them that if I didn't have my material by Thursday at the absolute latest that they were going to cost me a shipment, sales, a customer, and future sales with them,

15 minutes later I had an email saying they are going to do everything possible and have me my material on Thursday.

Your company plays it that close ? I know how it is , I used to do automotive just in time shipping to assembly plants. Now that was stressful.
Maybe you should have threatened them with Wednesday is the latest. That way when it turns into Thursday you are not totally scr*wed.
" Everything possible " is usually an escape phrase for we just missed it, and btw we never promised.
Some suppliers are weasels.

Its how the game has to be played. It's always a "just in time" type of thing for us. The thing is though they had time to produce the load and could have let it sit until needed. They have done that before and other vendors do it too. They basically work a load ahead, so that when we need the load they say "Ok let us get our truck arranged and we will have it there by XXX."

These guys just drive me nuts. They are our main supplier at this time and communication sucks. I think I am going to send an email to the company president basically saying "Look, I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, but Fred (we'll call him) doesn't like to answer emails. I constantly inform him of our needs and the ball is getting dropped."

Our company owner is already aware of what is happening right now. I made sure he got copied on the emails. Unfortunately he wasn't in today but he did talk to my boss and told him to make sure I knew I handled the situation right. I think he still needs to make a phone call to let them know we mean business and their lack of cooperation could cost them future business with us.

We are attempting to step production and sales and everything which means even more material needs, so if they can't keep up with us now, how are they going to keep up with us when we increase production an addtional 50%?

i got an email today about college lol i gotta sign up for some elective courses, either Psych of evil, which is online only, or Fly fishing hahahah

I love filler material to a Trade certification lol

Second source them , and then slowly move away from them. It usually depends on what % you are of their business.
That will determine how much they want to keep you.

I'm so frustrated with Shelby County HR department. If I was shacked up and had 5 kids I woulda been eating a month ago.

On the other hand, this puppy is a handful. Hopefully this "i need you all the time please don't leave my sight" stage will end soon...
