There are several write-ups on this, I'm not 100% on the diode, but I suggest good quality 4 gauge.

yeah i was gonna go 2 gauge cause 1/0 runs the amp. and for the diode i found a few how to's

I think I've woken up on the wrong side of bed. Something's not right today, I feel off. That or I just need to finish this coffee..

Plus, on the way to class, I encountered every possible obstacle, a broken dump truck of some sort hogging the ONE lane we have, a slow ass Buick, ugh. so much for today's class. FUUU jkjsalfdkjsahglkjahsdkjfhsahdfsadfs :(
