i dont have to deal with them at all, i just give a nod and wave as we pass, they all know i cant speak Spanish, so they dont try to talk me at all.

My sales rep asked for a lead time, I gave it to him. Apparently he did not understand my resonse because he replied

It very impotent we give custome led time. Customer request led time and we not give it the go elswere. That hapen we go out of busnes in heart bit.

OW. It just hurt my head to even type that.

When i have to ask questions over and over and still get no response it really burns my ***...now my customers are mad. Stupid time difference............

The problem is, I gave him a lead time within 3 minutes of recieving the first email.

When he asked for a lead time I responded "If everything goes to plan we could probably have this order ready the week of October 10."

If that's not a lead time then I don't know what is.

On another note I had a blow up with the prick over the phone today. It started in email. He JUST got an order today. Our normal lead time is 5-6 weeks. It always has been. He wanted this order shipped next week. On top of that this is a customer that we don't even want. The owner of the company has even told the rep to tell them to take their business elsewhere.

I replied to his email "I have reviewed all options and there is no way we can make this order happen in the time requested. All plastic on the floor and on PO is allocated to older orders. If we even attempted to make this order happen it would delay at least 3 other orders"

Simple and to the point right? Well apparently he didn't like the answer because his response included copying the owner in the loop and said "We need to have meeting at 3:15 or 3:30."

The owner was already in the building and told the operations manager that we were not going to make special arrangements for this customer and my answer stood.

When the time came for the meeting I was busy, as was my boss and the owner. He wasn't happy and wanted to talk to me anyway. I picked the phone up and the convseration goes something like this:

Rep: So whats the deal with XXXXX
Me: Sheet. Its at least 4 weeks out
Rep: This no good. When we get plastic for XXXXXXXX and XXX?
Me: Maybe next week.
Rep: Well I want that plastic
Me: That plastic is allocated to the other orders.
Rep: I tell you what to do with plastic

At this point I am getting pissed

Me: I thought it was my job to schedule production?
Rep: You dont deal with customer, I do
Me: This is going to screw 3 orders over if we do this.
Rep: (yelling at this point) I no care, you do this.
Me: (after pausing for 5 seconds) Well you are going to have to talk to Jason about this. I gotta go, I am very busy.
Rep: You very busy?
Me: Yes I am very busy *SLAM*

After this convsersation I was enraged. Went and talked to my boss and told him he better call Mark (the owner) and tell him he better get Miguel under control before I blow up on him. I told him what had went down and he immediately called the owner and told him.

Afterwards I was told not to worry about it, that Miguel was told the order wasn't happening no matter what he said. The asshole thought he was going to bully me into doing the order. :th_laugh-lol3:

Got to love knowing all the guys working at the local parts store. Ripped plug wire boot (wires from them) = new ones which are apparently better than the normal stockers. I know warranty and all but it's still sweet when the guy gives you the better part at no extra charge.

Have I changed that much? Am I that much of an un-likeable person, that no one seems to want to talk, or be around me any more?
