come on you know they sold it to him. where do you think he is now? i bet hes secretly working on it. ssshhhhhh, dont tell his boss. they say work at home, but they dont say what work to do???? lol
 
Knowin bill. Ya he's out in the garage ripping the lim out and dropping the trans. Piecing it back together with parts he has laying around. It will work better then all of our cars in 20 mins and cost him. $5 because of discounts at advance LoL
 




Question: could a bad battery make it appear like the alternator is going bad? I had a lot of crude build up on my terminals so I cleaned them and the voltage stayed fine but now its starting to show low voltages again as if the regulator in battery is going out. This month I can replace either the battery or alternator. Not both. (Bear in mind the battery is the same one from factory in 2006 when car was new)
 
Corrosion on the terminals usually is from a weak charge from the alternator. Also, once the car starts it runs mainly off the alt so if you are seeing lower voltages it is probably the alt that is the issue, not the battery.

Take the car to Advance. They can test the alternator and the battery right in the car.
 


I had them test it and they said the battery looked fine. The only reason I was wondering is cause once I cleaned off the battery terminals with a wire brush my voltage went up to normal levels for a week or so
 
Well, it looks like I haven't quite lost my job yet. Today was supposed to be my last day. I spoke with the campus director this morning and ill be working with the registrar all of next week while she finds me a position in financial aid.

BOOM! feel so much better. :)
 
good! glad some good luck is floating around. I just need a job to come through, I'm starting to lower my standards a bit. If I didn't like MI I wouldn't be trying so hard ya know. But since I do... might as well stay.

Things always find a way of working themselves out in the long run.
