i just learned that touchless car washes are actually bad for your car if your dry it afterwards. I'm astounded. Good thing I always just drive and let the wind blow the water off.

I'm spending $50 on takeout for 2 people, and don't plan to tip when I pickup my order.

Does this make me cheap? Well I don't really care.

You passed me a bag and swiped my card. You need a tip?

i used to work at a restaurant. and to go people, yeah they do A LOT more than just give you a bag and swipe your card. they have to go in the back, take your food down, box it up, bag it up, get all your picky little condiments, bag it up, take the receipt, blah blah blah. its a lot involved, they deserve a tip ;)

well im not sure about there...but here they got paid 2.13/hour and then whatever you guys tip them thats what they came home with. pretty chitty, but not always.

But to be honest, I worked in customer service/retail for a few years and never once received a tip.

It's odd that gratuity applies to only some retail sectors.

I don't think you can pay an employee below minimum wage where I live...hence "minimum wage".

Which is $9.50.

So had I left a $5 tip, and say they process 10 pickups per hour on busy nights.

They would be earning a chit load.

Yea a waiter/waitress gets paid less per hour and the rest is supposed to be made up by tips.

And thank god that this week is over. I've banged my brains out against a wall all week at work, have gotten drunk about every night because of it.
