That's the kind of guy that, if I were a police officer, I would pick up every day and write a him a ticket every day until he gets the damn idea.

It's not that he wants bright lights. I want bright lights, it means I can see. But his attitude pisses me off.

Many states have made HID's illegal in any vehicle in which they did not come factory for just this reason.

I wonder how strict they enforce it, I can see it easier to pickup a guy with HIDs in reflector housings as its usually obvious but if a guy did a retro I feel he would be able to get away with it with the light being aimed better.

Reflector based housings are what they're targetting. However, you'll fail state inspection here (supposedly) for it even with a nice retrofit. Cops have been cracking down on reflector housing HID's here since Jan 1 when the law went into effect.
 


I wish cops around here would do that more. Too many lifted trucks with like purple or pure blue headlights. Its really annoying.
